It has been three years since Abiy Ahmed declared war on the Amhara people. Since January 26, 2026, the Abiy regime has intensified its attacks on civilians in different zones of Amhara region, Shoa, Western Wollo, Eastern Gojam, and Western Gondar. The regime has committed War Crimes, Crimes against Humanity and Genocide in those areas after cutting off telephone and internet services to make sure no information leaks to the outside world while its heinous crimes were in progress. On February 5, 2026, in Wollo Bet Amhara Wagdi woreda; on February 6, 2026, in Dera woreda, Merha Bete district of Shoa, in Yifat and Timuga district as well as in Efrata and Gedm district in Efrata and Gedm, thousands of innocent people have been killed and wounded in the massacres carried out by the regime.
